On the 17th of October at 12.00 o’clock in the hall of „Tumult” Foundation, an opening ceremony of 17th “Always green, always blue” exhibition and presenting awards will be held. This cultural event is a result of International Children’s and Young People’s Art Competition organized under the auspices of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship.
The main organizer of competition, exhibition and workshops accompanying that event was Children’s Creative Art Centre and Gallery in Toruń in cooperation with
The Office of the Governor of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship in Toruń and The City Office of Toruń.
The main aim of the competition was getting children and young people interested in environmental issues and the surrounding nature and this year topic was “Water – life and element”. Many techniques were allowed: painting, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, photography and photo documentation of spatial objects, performances, happenings, installations, visual actions.

26367 works from 52 countries have been sent to the competition. 1218 works from 50 countries have been qualified to the exhibition set. 48 prizes, 48 individual honorable mentions and 4 prizes for the institutions for the collections of works have been awarded.

The prizewinning institutions are:
United Children’s Complex Fine Arts School /Targovishte/ from Bulgaria – Award of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship
and Zakladní Umelecka Skola /Plzen/ z Czech – Award of the President of Toruń.

The best documentation of the art actions made:
Agios Ioannis Gymnasioum /Kato Polemidia/ from Cyprus and Zakladní Umelecka Skola – Vytvarny Obor /Opava/ from Czech Republic .
The honorable mention got Zakladní Umelecka Skola Pavla Kalety /Cesky Tesin/ from Czech Republic.

You can watch this exhibition at the Children‘s Creative Art Centre and Gallery on Rynek Nowomiejski 17 till the 5th of December 2013 and on Kościuszki Street till the 3rd of December 2013.
