On 19th October at 12 o’clock in Shaw Hall in MDK in Toruń will be solemn recapitulation of 19th edition International Children’s and Young People’s Art Competition “Always Green, Always Blue”, which is organize by Children’s Creative Art Centre and Gallery in Toruń. The main idea of these important and well-known at all the world competition is interest children and young people in environment, problems with environmental protection and all the nature. That’s way a sponsors were State Forests and Voivodship Environmental Protection Fund and Water Management in Toruń.

The motto of this year’s competition “Harmonious Diversity” let participations to present all wealth of world, multitude of form, kaleidoscope of shapes and colours. The authors of artworks were inspired by different countryside of every year season, flowery meadows, green fields and forests, oceans and seas with living creations, animals and plants. The inspirations were places well-know, the closest areas, school, home, everyday lives of family cities and villages. Often the dreams were also an inspirations. The elastic formula of competition makes huge area for children imagination, gives a chances for realization interesting ideas.

On exhibition there is over one thousand from fourteen thousands artworks, sent from 49 countries. There are paintings, drawings, and graphics artworks from such exotic countries as a Bangladesh, Brazil, Brunei, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. For the first time artworks were sent by children from Peru.

International jury awarded 52 prizes and 48 honorary awards. Furthermore 3 institutions were honored of special prizes for the most interesting collection of artworks. 

The prize of Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship got an institution in Bangladesh the Painting for Children at Uttara Annex of Aliance Francaise de Dhaka.

The prize of President City of Toruń got Zakladna umelecka skola in Dolny Kubin, Slovakia.

The prize of Children’s Creative Art Centre and Gallery in Toruń got school in Estonia, Tallinna Vanalinna Kunstikeskus.

The exhibition can be wieved in both seats of Children’s Creative Art Centre and Gallery from 20 October to 4 December in Rynek Nowomiejski 17, and to 30 November in Kościuszki Street 41/47.
